Year-End Message from the MECAD Mastercam Team

3 minutes read

We all know that the past couple of years has been filled with many unique challenges, and when this year started, we were nervous for the unknown, but also excited for the new challenges ahead. Next thing you know there is a war in Ukraine, fuel prices are through the roof and loadshedding hits us worse than ever. Not to mention the crime rate and political challenges we face every day. Manufacturing companies were put under immense strain and a lot of companies were struggling to keep their businesses afloat.

At MECAD we have a collective goal, and that is to provide exceptional value to the engineering and manufacturing sectors of South Africa. We know that companies face many challenges, and that software is just a small portion of the operation in most cases, but through our team’s vast experience and dedication we were able to do so much more than general support.

Our focus going into 2023 will be even broader than in 2022. We hope to enable companies by creating customized post processors, custom C-Hooks (Add-Ins), conducting efficiency audits, doing tailored Cimco implementations, and we even add a few new Mastercam courses. For us here in South Africa it is crucial to stay competitive in the market and to maintain high manufacturing quality standards, with MECAD and Mastercam this is easily achieved.

Please reach out to us if you feel like your company needs assistance in any way with regards to machining or manufacturing. MECAD can assist in many ways, even if it is through our very own recruiting service, to find the right personnel for your team. MECAD offers a consulting service as well and can pull resources from the entire MECAD group when taking on new projects.

We look forward to the new year ahead, and we wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a very Happy New Year, a blissful holiday season and we hope that everyone enjoys a well-deserved break.

Kind regards

Mats Booysen

Product Manager
